AI and Machine Learning Services

How We Use AI

Trunknode uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to enhance our Services, including:

  • Conversational AI assistants that answer questions about your data
  • Document understanding that summarizes and extracts insights from documents
  • Image analysis that describes and indexes visual content
  • Data visualization that generates charts and graphs from your datasets
  • Content generation that creates titles, summaries, and descriptions

AI Service Providers

To deliver these AI features, we work with trusted AI providers:

  • AWS Bedrock - Cloud-based AI service providing access to multiple foundation models from leading AI companies (Anthropic, Meta) for conversational AI, natural language understanding, and vision tasks
  • Open-source models - Specialized embedding and vision models hosted on our secure infrastructure

When you use AI features, your prompts, data context, and conversation history are processed through AWS Bedrock. AWS processes this data solely to provide AI responses and does not use your data to train their foundation models.

AI Data Processing

What data is processed:

  • Your questions and prompts
  • Relevant portions of your datasets (documents, images, structured data)
  • Conversation history to maintain context
  • Metadata about your usage patterns

How long AI data is retained:

  • Active conversation sessions: Stored for the duration of your session
  • Conversation history: Retained in our systems with 8-hour automated cleanup for temporary queues
  • Vector embeddings: Stored as long as you maintain the associated dataset
  • Cached responses: Retained to improve performance, automatically invalidated when data changes

AI Training and Model Improvement

Trunknode does not use your data to train AI models. Your conversations, documents, and datasets are used solely to provide Services to you.

AWS Bedrock foundation model policy:

  • AWS Bedrock does not use your prompts or responses to train Amazon or third-party foundation models
  • Your data is processed temporarily to generate responses and then discarded according to AWS policies
  • See AWS Bedrock Data Privacy: https://aws.amazon.com/bedrock/data-privacy/

Your data remains yours, and we do not contribute it to any AI training datasets.

Content generated by AI systems (summaries, descriptions, responses) is:

  • Not guaranteed to be accurate - AI can make mistakes or generate incorrect information
  • Not a substitute for professional judgment - Always verify important information
  • Your responsibility to review - You should evaluate AI outputs before relying on them
  • Subject to the same usage terms - AI-generated content is part of your Customer Data

You are responsible for ensuring AI-generated content complies with applicable laws and regulations before publishing or sharing it externally.
